A healthy and long-lasting marriage or partnership doesn’t happen by chance - it is built, consciously, one interaction at a time. Inevitably, there will be times when life is challenging, and it is easy for childcare, money worries, work stress and family politics to get in the way of your connection with the one you love. Couples’ therapy is a relatively short-term intervention by a qualified professional who will observe how you and your partner interact and teach you concepts and tools to help you communicate better and solve your issues as a team. Many couples see a difference within the first couple of sessions and if they are committed to practising what they have learned in the therapy room in their day-to-day lives at home, may only need a handful of sessions to get them back on track.
After you submit your initial enquiry, we will meet online for half an hour. This is your opportunity to give me an overview of the issues between you and for you to ask me any questions you have about me or the process. Then I will video call each of you separately and privately for about 15 minutes each, to ask some intake questions so I can ensure this is the correct path for you. All of these initial sessions are free of charge. Once this intake process has been completed, you are ready to begin attending sessions in person together.
The standard rate for each one-hour session is £120*. This fee includes not only our commitment to offering you the highest quality therapy we can provide, but time spent considering your case between sessions, including during a minimum of six hours’ clinical supervision per month and the reassurance of a therapist who is committed to outstanding, ethical practice and ongoing professional development. You will also be offered a welcoming hot or cold drink on arrival to help you both settle in to your beautiful therapy room. I see couples on Tuesdays in the Jewellery Quarter and Wednesdays and Thursdays in Aldridge - please submit an enquiry to ask about current availability.
