Therapy can be an integral part of one’s self-care routine just as much as the gym and the hairdresser. You can access and vent long-suppressed emotions, say the otherwise unsayable, work towards specific goals, laugh, cry and try out new ways of being in relationship. People often come to sessions and get more than they expected to - apprehension at the outset of therapy soon turns into wanting to tell everyone they know how great it is! I work with a wide variety of issues, but typically I work with people who are ready to process their childhood trauma (including neglect and sexual abuse), have a challenging relationship with one or both parents, or are simply interested in learning psychological concepts in order to understand themselves and others better.
I offer a free initial half-hour “Connection” session online so that you can tell your story and for us to see if we connect well. In this session I will also tell you more about the psychotherapy process and what you can expect on this journey. We will also go through the practical aspects of our sessions together, such as what day and time we will meet, and how often.
Thereafter, the standard rate for sessions is £80. This fee includes not only my commitment to offering you the highest quality therapy I can provide, but time spent considering your case between sessions, including during a minimum of six hours’ clinical supervision per month plus the reassurance of a therapist who is a member of two professional organisations and completes ongoing professional development. You will also be offered a welcoming hot or cold drink on arrival to help you settle in to your beautiful therapy room - or we can both arrive at your online session with a comforting hot drink in hand. In-person individual sessions take place in Aldridge (see photo).
